HB 2635 - DIGEST

     Declares that a physician or other person may not perform, or attempt to perform, any abortion with the intent to terminate the life of a viable fetus, unless it is necessary to preserve the life of the mother.  If a pregnancy is terminated, the life of the viable fetus may not be terminated, unless it is necessary to preserve the life of the mother.

     Prescribes penalties for violation of the act.
