HB 2875 - DIGEST

 

     Requires that every employer who offers benefits to any of its full-time employees shall offer the same benefits to all part-time employees on a prorated basis by prorating the employer's share of the premium contribution.

     Declares that any employee to whom this act applies may complain to the director that an employer is violating this section.

     Provides that an employer shall be assessed a civil penalty of not more than one thousand dollars per violation.

     Requires every employer to pay the employer's part-time employees at the same rate of pay as the employer's full-time employees when part-time employees perform the same or comparable work as full-time employees.
