HB 2944 - DIGEST

     Declares that the purpose of this act is to restructure the department of community, trade, and economic development by:  (1) Transferring its trade, business development, tourism, and economic development responsibilities and authorities to a newly created department of trade and economic development; and

     (2) retaining its community development responsibilities with the department, which is renamed as the department of community development.
