     Provides that the juvenile rehabilitation administration within the department of social and health services may contract with counties to operate a pilot project to conduct electronic monitoring of truant minors ordered detained under RCW 28A.225.010.

     Directs the juvenile rehabilitation administration to contract with the institute for public policy or a similar agency to obtain an evaluation of any pilot program instituted under this act.

     Provides that the act shall be null and void if appropriations are not approved.
