HB 3069 - DIGEST

     Directs the superintendent of public instruction to develop a traffic safety education course for use by parents providing home-based instruction in accordance with chapter 28A.200 RCW.

     Requires parents providing home-based instruction interested in using the course to certify to the superintendent that:  (1) The parent providing the instruction has a current driver's license issued by the state of Washington;

     (2) the parent providing the instruction has not been convicted of criminally negligent homicide or driving while intoxicated; and

     (3) the parent providing the instruction has not been disabled because of mental illness.
