SB 5084 - DIGEST

(SUBSTITUTED FOR - SEE 2ND SUB)

     Authorizes a court to award attorneys' fees and other court costs to an individual or small business that successfully appeals a state agency directive in court.

     Directs the office of financial management to report annually to the legislature on the amount of fees and other expenses awarded during the preceding fiscal year under this act.

     Requires the report to describe the number, nature, and amount of the awards, the claims involved in the controversy, and other relevant information that may aid the legislature in evaluating the scope and impact of the awards.
