SB 5094 - DIGEST

(AS OF SENATE 2ND READING 2/9/98)

     Provides that, if the court stays execution of the judgment and does not require the defendant to post an appeal bond, cash, or other security, the court shall state its reasons for that decision on the record.

     Requires the court to determine that the defendant's release will not cause unreasonable trauma to the victims of the crime or their families.
