SB 5367 - DIGEST

 

     Directs the superintendent of public instruction to establish a two-year pilot program to permit programs among districts where students who take classes part-time at a nonresident district are counted only at their school of residence for the purposes of state general apportionment funding.

     Requires each pilot program to be among a minimum of three school districts.

     Directs the superintendent of public instruction to submit a report to the legislature by December 31, 1999, on the benefits of the pilot program, any difficulties encountered by the districts in the program, any difficulties encountered by the superintendent of public instruction, and recommendations regarding the continuation of the program.
