SB 5522 - DIGEST

     Provides that the ownership, possession, purchase, sale, transportation, manufacture, or operation of gambling devices is prohibited.

     Declares that the device or mechanism includes but is not limited to:  Slot machines, video pull-tabs, video poker, and other electronic games of chance regardless of whether the devices or mechanisms are connected to other devices or mechanisms.

     Declares that a violation of the prohibition is a class B felony.

     Declares that this act takes effect if the proposed amendment to Article II, section 24 of the state Constitution prohibiting gambling devices is validly submitted to and is approved and ratified by the voters at the next general election.
