SB 5682 - DIGEST

     Provides that any classroom with a ratio of sixteen or more students per teacher that has had a program in place for at least one school year and has effectively and consistently used parents and/or volunteers to assist teachers in the educational instruction of students in grades kindergarten through three shall be eligible to apply for a grant of up to one thousand dollars per classroom for the purchase of books or educational materials to be used directly by students.

     Makes an appropriation of one hundred thousand dollars for the purposes of this act.
