SB 5924 - DIGEST

     Provides that applicants who have drug or alcohol addiction as a contributing factor to their disability shall be eligible to receive general assistance benefits only while they are attending a certified drug and alcohol treatment program.  The department shall periodically test these recipients of general assistance--unemployable benefits for drug use.  Two consecutive positive tests shall result in a termination of eligibility from the general assistance program.
