SB 6125-S - DIGEST

(DIGEST OF PROPOSED 1ST SUBSTITUTE)

     Requires drivers convicted of DUI to participate in victim impact panels and makes an assessment against the defendant to fund the operations of the panels.

     Designates the requirements for licensure of the panels.

     Requires the department to consider whether the person has complied with the victim panel requirement before issuing a new license.

     Repeals RCW 46.61.5152.
