SB 6488 - DIGEST

     Authorizes any city, town, or county to designate a zone or zones within its jurisdiction within which a sex offender designated as a risk level III sex offender under RCW 4.24.550 whose victim was under the age of eighteen at the time of the offense may not reside.  The following areas may be included within the zone or zones:  (1) Within one thousand feet of a school bus route stop designated by the school district;

     (2) within one thousand feet of the perimeter of a school;

     (3) a public housing project; or

     (4) within one thousand feet of the perimeter of a civic center or public park.

     Provides that a violation of this act is a class C felony.
