(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

     Declares that no person may represent oneself as a certified chemical dependency professional or use any title or description of services of certified chemical dependency professional without applying for certification, meeting the required qualifications, and being certified by the department of health, unless otherwise exempted.

     Directs the secretary to appoint a chemical dependency certification advisory committee to further the purposes of this act.

     Provides that an applicant holding a credential in another state may be certified to practice in this state without examination if the secretary determines that the other state's credentialing standards are substantially equivalent to the standards in this state.
