SB 6642 - DIGEST

     Protects research data developed or received by a research university, until such data are published, a patent is issued under 35 U.S.C. Sec. 151, or such data are otherwise publicly disseminated.  For the purposes of this act, "research data" means a body of facts and information collected for a specific purpose and derived from close, careful study, or from scholarly or scientific investigation or inquiry.
