     On page 3, line 9, after A(4)@ insert ABeginning December 1, 2000, and every other year thereafter, the commission shall report to the legislature regarding:

(a) Management techniques employed by the commission in game management units and the use of hounds in training, pursuing, or killing of cougar and black bear under this section;

(b) Confirmed cougar and black bear human safety incidents;

(c) Livestock and pet depredations;

(d) The number of cougar and black bear capture attempts and relocations;

(e) Alternatives used prior to the authorization of dogs;

(f) Other information relevant to game management units where the commission has authorized the use of dogs to address specific black bear or cougar population or public safety needs; and

(g) The implementation of the provisions of this section.

EFFECT: Requires the Fish and Wildlife Commission to annually report to the legislature regarding the implementation of specific provisions of this section.
