     On page 2, line 20, after "release." insert the following

"Instead, the funds shall be subjected to a deduction of five percent to the public safety and education account for the purpose of crime victims' compensation."

     On page 2, line 22, after "shall" insert "instead"

     On page 2, line 27, after "policy." insert the following

"Instead, the funds shall be subjected to a deduction of five percent to the public safety and education account for the purpose of crime victims' compensation."

     On page 2, line 28, after "for" strike "these" and insert "the"

     On page 2, line 28, after "deductions" insert "required under subsection (2) of this section"

     On page 2, line 30, after "deductions" insert "required under subsection (2) of this section"

     On page 2, line 37, after "shall" insert "instead"

EFFECT: Requires inmate funds received for education or for offender paid health care be subject to a deduction of five percent to the public safety and education account for the purpose of crime victims' compensation.
