     On page 2, line 31, after Aagency.@ insert AThis subsection shall not be construed to require a person repairing, modifying, or maintaining a computer to review or search information stored on any part of a computer other than that which is needed to effectuate its repair, modification or maintenance."

EFFECT: Requires a person finding child pornography stored on a computer during the course of repairing the computer to report the incident to the police if he or she has reason to believe that the  pornography was knowingly stored by the owner of the computer.  Computer technicians are not required to search any parts of the computer beyond the parts they are maintaining at the time of the repair.
