     On page 3, line 5 of the amendment, after Achild.@ insert AIf the court grants visitation under this section, the court shall ensure that the visitation time granted is divided between the primary residential parent and the nonprimary residential parent in an amount proportionate to the time awarded each parent under the parenting plan, unless such arrangement is found by the court not to be in the best interest of the child in maintaining contact with both parents.@

EFFECT:  Provides that when a court awards visitation time to the  nonparent petitioner, the amount of time is divided between each parent in an amount proportionate to the time awarded each parent under the parenting plan, unless it is not in the child=s best interest in maintaining contact with each parent.
