     On page 17, line 4 of the amendment, after Aagency.@ insert AThe department shall ensure that the acquisition complies with all internal revenue service requirements for transfers of conservation easements.@

     On page 24, after line 4 of the amendment, insert the following:

A(7) In such cases where the acquisition is of a conservation easement, the department shall ensure that the acquisition complies with all internal revenue service requirements for transfers of conservation easements.@

EFFECT: Requires that transfers of conservation easements are done in a manner consistent with federal regulations.
