     On page 4, beginning on line 1, strike all of Section 2 and insert the following:

     "NEW SECTION. Sec. 2.   1998 c 286 s 8 and 1995 c 347 s 433 (uncodified) are each repealed.

NEW SECTION. Sec. 3.  If specific funding for the purposes of section 1 of this act, referencing this act by bill or chapter number, is not provided by June 30, 2000, in the omnibus appropriations act, section 1 of this act is null and void."

Correct the title.

EFFECT:  (1) Repeals the June 30, 2000, expiration of both the 120-day permit requirement and the local government liability waiver provisions related to project applications. (2) Makes the  provisions for a writ of mandamus action based on failure to issue a final permit decision within 120 days after a project application is deemed complete null and void if not funded in the budget.
