     On page 3, beginning on line 4, strike everything through line 7, and insert the following:

AThe legislature declares that the sixteenth day of April shall be recognized as Mother Joseph day and the fourth day of September as Marcus Whitman day, but neither shall be considered legal holidays for any purpose.@

EFFECT: Mother Joseph Day and Marcus Whitman Day are not considered legal holidays.
