     On page 3, line 8, after Asigned@ strike A, and must be provided to current tenants as soon as possible, but not later than January 1, 2001" and insert A.  The duty of the landlord to provide written notice to all tenants under this subsection shall extend only to persons who become tenants after the effective date of this act@

EFFECT: Provides that the duty of a landlord to provide written notice to tenants extends only to persons who become tenants after the effective date of this act.
