     On page 2, after line 11, insert the following:

A(6) Provide information to, or receive information from, a legislator who has requested to be involved and is assisting a constituent in the legislator=s district; provided that the constituent has given his or her written consent.  The ombudsman shall consult with the specified legislator prior to closing the case;=

     Renumber the remaining subsections consecutively.

EFFECT: Allows a legislator to assist a constituent in his or her district.
