     On page 3, after line 9, insert the following:

ANEW SECTION. Sec. 5.  The superintendent of public instruction shall develop guidelines for school districts to use in developing policies for identifying, reporting, and tracking violent behavior and intimidation that may escalate into an offense listed in RCW 13.04.155.  School districts shall adopt policies for identifying, reporting, and tracking violent behavior and intimidation that may escalate into an offense listed in RCW 13.04.155.  School districts shall adequately inform school staff about the policies and how to identify and report behaviors that must be reported pursuant to RCW 28A.225.330.@

Correct the title accordingly. 

EFFECT:  Requires school districts to formulate policies for identifying, reporting, and tracking behavior that may escalate into an offense listed in RCW 13.04.155. Requires the Superintendent of Public Instruction to develop guidelines that the school districts may use in adopting these policies.  Requires school districts to inform school staff on the policies, how to identify behavior that may escalate into an offense listed in RCW 13.04.155, and how to report such behavior.
