    On page 4 of the committee amendment, after line 11, insert the following:

    "Any improvement or alteration to the exterior or the interior public spaces of structures in the university tract shall comply with the landmarks preservation ordinance adopted by the city of Seattle to the extent that such structures may be eligible for protection under the ordinance."
