    On page 2, line 36, after "counseling" delete "or support groups"

    On page 3, line 1, before "An individual's eligibility" insert:

    "(8) A claimant seeking to establish a domestic violence qualification under this section shall provide documentation of having fulfilled the requirements of subsection (7).  Documentation may include written confirmation of treatment by a health care professional licensed under RCW 18.57, RCW 18.57A, RCW 18.71, RCW 18.71A or RCW 18.79 for the effects of domestic violence; a copy of a protection order, restraining order or no-contact order; a letter from claimant's attorney indicating that claimant is actively pursuing legal remedies; a letter from a psychological, social or religious counselor or domestic violence victim advocate, indicating that the claimant is receiving counseling for domestic violence problems; or other reasonable documentation as may be established by the department in rule."

EFFECT: Removes participation in a "support group" as a qualifying factor for domestic violence "good cause" and requires claimant to document proof of a qualifying factor, with examples.
