    On page 3, after line 39, insert the following:

    "(7) The department shall encourage and facilitate placement of recipients into apprenticeships or preapprenticeship training programs."

    Renumber the sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT: Requires DSHS to facilitate placement of TANF recipients into work activities involving apprenticeships and preapprenticeship training.
