    On page 2, line 18, after "act" insert the following: "; (5) Use of state resources by members of the legislature, to the same extent permitted the governor, to initiate any statement regarding a ballot proposition".

    On page 3, line 20, after "responsibilities;" strike " and".

    On page 3, line 22, after "act" insert "; and (f) Use of state resources by members of the legislature, to the same extent permitted the governor, to initiate any statement regarding a ballot proposition".

    Renumber the sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT: Grants the legislature the same authority as the governor to use state resources to comment on ballot measures.
