Title:  An act relating to recognition of volunteer pilots.

Brief Description:  Allowing the department of transportation to recognize volunteer pilots.

Background:  The aviation division of the Department of Transportation recognizes that many volunteer groups and associations assist with and support search and rescue efforts and other activities that are beneficial to the aviation community.  The department and the Legislature would like to recognize these volunteers.

Summary of Bill:  The pilot registration fee may be used for volunteer recognition and support.

Appropriation:  None.

Fiscal Note:  Requested on January 20, 2000.

Effective Date:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
