Title:  An act relating to agency advertisements.

 

Brief Description:  Limiting a state agency's ability to film commercials outside of the state.

Background:  There is no restriction on where a commercial or advertisement produced by or on behalf of a state agency may be filmed.

 

Summary of Bill:  Any commercial or advertisement provided by or on behalf of a state agency that uses film, video, or other form of live action media must be filmed in Washington State.  If a state agency determines that it is not possible to comply with this restriction, then the state agency must receive express written permission from the Governor=s Office prior to filming.

 

Appropriation:  None.

Effective Date:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
