Requiring financial responsibility of certain persons who serve liquor.


    AN ACT Relating to the financial responsibility of certain persons who serve liquor; and adding a new section to chapter 66.08 RCW.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

    NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 66.08 RCW to read as follows:

    The board shall require any person who has any of the following licenses to obtain and maintain liability insurance of at least three hundred thousand dollars or a bond of at least three hundred thousand dollars with a surety authorized to conduct a surety business in this state:

    (1) Beer and/or wine license;

    (2) Private club beer and wine license;

    (3) Public house license;

    (4) Snack bar license;

    (5) Spirits, beer, and wine license;

    (6) Spirits, beer, and wine private club license;

    (7) Tavern license;

    (8) Sports/entertainment facility license; or

    (9) Microbrewery license, a domestic brewery license, or a domestic winery license, unless the licensee under this subsection does not allow the consumption of liquor on the premises.
