WHEREAS, It is the policy of the Washington State House of Representatives to recognize excellence in all fields of endeavor; and

WHEREAS, The House of Representatives Sergeant of Arms and Security Personnel serve the citizens of the state of Washington with distinction each year; and

WHEREAS, The House of Representatives Sergeant of Arms and Security Personnel distinguish themselves as loyal and hard working employees of the House of Representatives; and

WHEREAS, In these times it is especially important that legislative facilities and the thousands of visitors who come each year to see the seat of government and observe their elected representatives at work be secure from harm; and

WHEREAS, The House of Representatives Sergeant of Arms and Security Personnel do an extraordinary and professional job of maintaining the security and peace of the House of Representatives and its members, employees, and guests;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize and honor the House of Representatives Sergeant of Arms and Security Personnel for their many hours of dedicated service to this institution and to the citizens of the state of Washington; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be immediately transmitted by the Co-Chief Clerks of the House of Representatives to the House of Representatives Sergeant of Arms.
