America's World War II veterans.
TO
THE HONORABLE WILLIAM J. CLINTON, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, AND TO THE
PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE AND THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, AND TO
THE SENATE AND HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE UNITED STATES, IN CONGRESS
ASSEMBLED:
We,
your Memorialists, the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of
Washington, in legislative session assembled, respectfully represent and
petition as follows:
WHEREAS,
The people of the State of Washington, have dedicated a wonderful World War II
memorial to honor our committed citizens who lived and died through this period
of history to ensure freedom and prosperity to future generations; and
WHEREAS,
The people of the State of Washington wish to participate with the Congress at
the national level to add their sincere thanks to all American veterans of
World War II for their courage, patriotism, and sacrifice;
NOW,
THEREFORE, Your Memorialists respectfully pray that the Congress accept the
support of the people of the State of Washington for the National World War II
Veterans' Memorial, a most well-deserved and worthy project.
BE IT RESOLVED, That copies of this Memorial be immediately
transmitted to the Honorable William J. Clinton, President of the United
States, the President of the United States Senate, the Speaker of the House of
Representatives, and each member of Congress from the State of Washington.
