HB 1154 - DIGEST

(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

     Amends RCW 84.52.069 to eliminate the time limit of six consecutive years on regular tax levies for medical care and services.

     Provides that the tax shall be imposed:  (1) Each year for six consecutive years;

     (2) each year for ten consecutive years; or

     (3) permanently.

     Provides that a taxing district imposing a permanent levy under this act shall provide for a referendum procedure to apply to the ordinance or resolution imposing the tax.
