HB 1156 - DIGEST

     Requires any person or entity operating as a motor carrier to comply with the requirements under the United States department of transportation federal motor carrier safety regulations for implementing a motor vehicle driver drug testing program.

     Declares that any person or entity in violation of this provision shall be fined five thousand dollars and an additional five hundred dollars for each motor vehicle driver employed by the person or entity who is not in compliance with the motor vehicle driver drug testing requirements.

     Declares that no person or entity may operate as a motor carrier who is not in compliance with this act.
