HB 1920 - DIGEST

     Declares that the purpose of this act is to ensure that no action is taken to breach, remove, or circumvent a federally owned or federally licensed dam, or to reduce the reservoir of a federally owned or a federally licensed dam below the operating level of the dam without the effects of the action on water quality being carefully examined and water quality being protected.

     Declares a further purpose of this act to ensure that property rights, including property rights to the use of water and contractual rights, are protected and to ensure that, as environmental analyses are being undertaken, the economic effects of a proposal regarding federally owned or licensed dams are fully disclosed.
