(SUBSTITUTED FOR - SEE 1ST SUB)

     Requires that, beginning July 1, 2000, the legislative transportation committee shall convene a task force to study vessel service conveying persons for compensation over the waters of this state by private businesses.  The task force shall present its report and recommendations to the full legislative transportation committee no later than December 1, 2000.
