(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

     Requires the work force training and education coordinating board, with the cooperation and assistance of the state board for community and technical colleges and the employment security department, to review the participation in the training benefits program under section 8 of this act and report to the appropriate committees of the legislature by December 1, 2002.

     Establishes a legislative task force to review and make recommendations regarding the changes deemed necessary to ensure that the unemployment insurance system meets the needs of employers and workers in the twenty-first century.
