SB 5443 - DIGEST

(AS OF SENATE 2ND READING 3/13/99)

     Authorizes a person receiving notification of a driver's license suspension to request in writing a formal hearing before the department.  The person shall pay a fee of one hundred dollars as part of the request.

     Provides that the department may waive the required one hundred dollar fee if the person is an indigent as defined in RCW 10.101.010.
