SB 6694 - DIGEST

     Establishes a foster parent retention pilot program to retain foster parents who care for children who act out sexually.

     Makes an appropriation of one hundred sixty-five thousand dollars for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2000, from the general fund to the division of children and family services.

     Provides that, under the foster parent retention pilot program, foster parents who care for children who act out sexually will receive:  (1) Emergency assistance; and

     (2) problem solving in the home and group training.

     Provides that the act shall be null and void if appropriations are not approved.
