     On page 1 of the striking amendment, line 22, after AGED@ insert A; or

(iv) Volunteering in a child care facility licensed under chapter 74.15 RCW so long as the child care facility agrees to accept the recipient as a volunteer and the child without compensation while the parent is volunteering at the facility.  The volunteer recipient and his or her child shall not be counted for the purposes of determining licensed capacity or the staff to child ratio of the facility@

EFFECT: Allows a recipient who has a child between three months and one year of age to meet the participation requirements under this section by volunteering at a licensed child care facility so long as the facility agrees to have the recipient as a volunteer and to not be compensated for the child.  The volunteer recipient and his or her child will not be counted for the purposes of determining licensed capacity or the staff to child ratio of the facility.
