     On page 2, line 24, strike "((retired))" and insert "retired"

     On page 2, line 24, strike "retires" and insert "entered employment"

EFFECT:  Makes the elimination of the supplemental payment in higher education defined contribution pension plans prospective only.  Faculty and other employees hired July 1, 2001, or thereafter are not eligible to receive the supplemental payment, but current employees who retire in the future are eligible to receive the payment
