     On page 24, after line 12, insert:

ANEW SECTION. Sec. 34.  As required under RCW 43.135.060, the state is responsible for reimbursing counties for any increased costs incurred by county auditors in conducting primaries under this act.@

Renumber the following sections consecutively.

EFFECT:  Recognizes the requirements of Initiative 601 that the state reimburse local governments for any responsibilities for new programs or increased levels of service under existing programs.
