     On page 21, after line 14, insert the following:

A(7)The department of transportation, with approval of the transportation commission, shall expend funds appropriated under this section on the Alaska Way viaduct.  Spending on other projects within the preservation program shall be adjusted to accommodate these expenditures.@

EFFECT: Authorizes the department of transportation to spend funds  from the current appropriation to the preservation program on the Alaska Way viaduct.  Expenditures on other preservation projects must be adjusted to accommodate the expenditure.
