     On page 14, after line 6, strike all of section 10 and insert the following:

ANEW SECTION.  Sec. 10.  The department shall, in consultation with interested stakeholders, develop recommendations for improving the  procedures used to notify victims when a sexually violent predator is conditionally released to a less restrictive alternative under chapter 71.09 RCW, while at the same time maintaining the confidentiality of victim information.@

     Correct the title.

EFFECT: Removes the provision requiring the DSHS to verify that the proposed less restrictive alternative housing is not within 25 miles of any of the person=s registered victims.  Requires the DSHS to work with interested parties in developing improved procedures for notifying victims when a sexually violent predator is released to an LRA, while maintaining the confidentiality of victim information.
