     On page 22, after line 5 of the amendment, insert the following:

A(5) The Legislature recognizes that projected revenues to the Puget Sound ferry operating account for the 2001-03 biennium may be up to $30,000,000 less than what is required to fund the appropriation provided in this section.  The Legislature intends to fully evaluate the extent of the shortfall and make a supplemental appropriation during the 2002 legislative session.@

EFFECT: Recognizes potential revenue shortfall for ferry operating program and expresses an intent to address that shortfall with a supplemental appropriation during the 2002 legislative session.
