     On page 7, line 6, after Asuch@ strike everything through Afacilities@ on line 7 and insert the following: Afacilities.  In coordinating and deciding upon the siting of secure community transition facilities, great weight shall be given by the county and cities within the county to:

     (a) The number and location of existing residential facility beds

operated by the department of corrections or the mental health division of the department of social and health services in each jurisdiction in the county; and

     (b) The number of registered sex offenders classified as level II or level III and the number of sex offenders registered as homeless residing in each jurisdiction in the county@

EFFECT: Requires counties and cities to give great weight to the number and location of exisiting DOC and DSHS mental health division residential facility beds located in each jurisdiction, and the number of level II and level III and homeless sex offenders residing in each jurisdiction, when determining the siting for secure community transition facilities within a county.
