     On page 17, after line 34, insert the following:

     "(4) $50,000 of the public safety and education account-state appropriation is provided solely for the purpose of publicizing the availability of a national telephone preference service list and methods by which residential telephone customers may have their telephone numbers placed on the list."

EFFECT:  Requires $50,000 of existing funds be used to advertise that residential customers may have their telephone numbers placed on a national telephone preference list 

FISCAL IMPACT:  Earmarks $50,000 of existing funds for a specific purpose.
