     On page 23, after line 10, insert the following:

     "(23) $1,000,000 of the general fund-state appropriation for fiscal year 2002 and $1,000,000 of the general fund-state appropriation for fiscal year 2003 shall be used solely for energy assistance under the low-income home energy assistance program."

EFFECT: Provides that $1,000,000 of the general fund-state appropriation for each fiscal year 2002 and 2003 shall be used solely for energy assistance under the low-income home energy assistance program.

FISCAL IMPACT:  None.
